Another End and A New Start

Sunday, October 28, 2007

Yeap, it's another end to my 3rd year in this school. My results are pretty bad but it's enough for me to advance to Sec 4 Express. I didn't really enjoy this year as many things have changed and I have to be more disciplined to myself and do the things that need my attention. Studies is one of them and I really hate doing homework and studying the book over and over again..Seriously, who love reading the textbook, besides gaining new knowledge. EVEN if I do, the questions that came out in the exams never match with the knowledge I had. SCREW YOU SETTERS.

So I screwed up the first semester, and did a little better for the second semester. I didn't do much for the first semester as I was really sick of studying and only study very hard when it was nearing the exams. Second half of the year, I've became more quiet and pay more attention and later on, my studies improved...Well a bit. But hey, that's better than doing worse!

Well that's one of my achievement this year. In terms of my social life, I've learnt to let go some seriousness and join in the fun of my fellow classmates. Though they are sick sometimes LOL, but you just got to let that serious part of you and laugh with them. But also, I've learnt self control. There's always a time for playfulness and seriousness. I don't talk when my teachers are teaching because when I do, I miss out a few important information.

In Band, yes I've been promoted, I don't see this promotion as a reward but as an opportunity to learn to be a leader. Last time I was the follower and I had no idea how to be a leader. What I lack is the confidence and I have to get rid of my blur side of me. This is what I hope to achieve at the end of next year. I wish to lead my fellow bandmates and strive for the best for next year's Viva La.

I made more friends from different cliques this year. Agassi's Geek Group...Made friends with Jie Wei and Yi Yan..the malay dudes and the Study kind of Geek group. I became Elaine's best buddy. All of them has their pros and cons. But at least I experienced it. My friendship with Farhan and Shaun has defintely grown..That's for sure.

But the most important thing that I've done this year is I have finally, yes FINALLY, let go of the girl I once liked. It was a struggling period for me and I was wrestling with myself about it. After talking to some people, especially Su Juen (THANKS SU JUEN), I know how to fully let go of her. Now, to me, the girl is no longer important to me anymore. If by chance we were to speak to each other again, I hope she would forgive me for what I've done this year. Sorry..

Yeap I think that's most of it. Tomorrow's a brand new day, a fresh new start, what old is new again and all that jazz..I BEG OF MYSELF TO MOTIVATE MYSELF MORE TO STUDY...And SHIT! I have some school holiday program. It turns out that teachers are supposed to teach us Sec4 stuff...Darn...Really hope I can do well..I don't wish to screw up my important exams like I did in PSLE.

All right, that's all for tonight..See ya readers!

Shooting Cars

Wednesday, October 24, 2007

You may think shooting an arrow for the first time through a target is easy, but I can assure you, it ain't at all. My class had archery today. I was totally geeking out about it because for the first time in my life, I get to relive my favourite character in the Lord of The Rings movie: Legolas...Woooooooo. It turns out that holding the bow and aiming at the yellow circle(the most inner of all), wasn't easy as it seems to be.

It turns out that I'm a very bad archer. Even though I have the power, I kept missing the yellow spot. Several times, after I released the arrow, the string hit my left arm and now it has bruises all over. My muscle ached too. Haiz, I shouldn't had arm-wrestle with Ron yesterday..Damn..

The instructors say that when you're firing your arrow, we expose our inner self to them. It's kinda true. The way we stand tells us if we are discipline or not and if you're talking while shooting, it tells use how easily you can be distracted and lose your focus. And the main point of this Archery program is that if we have self-control, focus and discipline, we can actually achive our goals. Yes I know, preachy...

Abad, Zhao De and Xiang Chou came to my house today and we played Project Gotham Race 2, PGR2 for short. LOL. It was totally fun and I enjoy playing with them. Xiang Chou is getting at it but he is nowhere near as me. :D I just need some time to familiarise with the tracks and I can win Xiang Chou! Woots! There was this time when Zhao De crashed his car and I overtook him with style. Because his car was in the middle of the road, I had no choice but to cross him by driving OVER his car. He starts going "NOBODY OVERTAKES ME LIKE THAT..." and tries to distract me. We were gawfing madly like idiots when we saw what happened in the game.

Zhao De and Abad left first. Xiang Chou stayed til like 6 plus and we played very lame games like trying to topple each other's chinese chess set pieces out of the board. It was a very fun afternoon and a great day for me. Arghh...I hope my arm can recover faster...Bye!

Flying Concerts

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Wow, it has been an incredible day. As exams are over, we get to relax and have fun with the post-exam activities. Today was the start of the "fun" activities. We had this thing called the "Pet Rocket". It's basically using the theory from physics and applying to the rockets made from our big bottles of drinks. Chun brought a bottle of Pepsi and it was like full..It turns out that the guy can't finish his bottle of Pepsi. LOL

I was teamed up with Xiang Chou and Zheng Qian and it was cool making the rocket. We actually used up 1 whole tape, because Xiang Chou says the program not worth our money so we have to use it as much as we could, and end up asking for more tape from the instructors LOL. Me and Abad were crazy over the Superbad's charactor McLovin. We kept saying how cool it was to be like McLovin and have a fake IC. HAHAHA.

After that, we launched our rockets in the school field. All I can say it was a totally fun and wet event this morning. Xiang Chou was the unluckiest of all among our group as he got the most water splash. Zheng Qian and me only got it on our face and a bit of it on our shirts. A lucky turn of events, our group got third place for landing our rocket near the target..We all were laughing away as we didn't know there was a target, we just fire away happily..HAHA..

Yesterday I went to NAFA Lee Foundation Theatre to attend a choir concert which had Su Juen in it. The songs were pretty nice, I especially liked the last song they sang. A nice concert..Got wet on the way because it was raining and I didn't had any unbrella with me. Concert finished in like 30-40 minutes and I hang out with the seniors, Su Juen, Kelvin, Isaac and Ivan at the Lasalle Campus.

DAMN, the Lasalle Campus is such a cool place! The buildings were just built just a few months ago and the place is totally clean and awesome. Ivan brought me around the place and we saw the bridge and he told me what floors had what departments. It was an amazing experience. Su Juen and others advised me that if I wanted to take filming course, don't go NAFA but Laselle..hmm..Like I told Ivan, just maybe I will choose Lasalle..:D

That's all for today, goodbye and goodnight!

A Jog with Memories

Wednesday, October 03, 2007

I wasn't doing much this morning as there were new things for me to check out. So I went to Friendster.com and read the testimonials I had received when I was in Primary school and in Coral Secondary School. I felt really amazed on what my friends wrote about me, to quote a few "kinda weirD" from Marissa, Kun Rong's "the first time i knew him was thru teh sec 1 orientation camp and he is quite quiet. but soon after i get to know him, he is such sweet and nice guy." and Flinda's "my kor is a kind, frenly and easy going guy .. a humourous person as well..". It really makes me think about last time how my life was one perfect journey.

I remembered when I was in 1E1 in CSS, I was one of the jokers in the class and participated almost in every class jokes. LOL. There's this time I did something disgusting accidentally and nearly threw up at my friend's , Flinda, hair. I love the times where me, Flinda, Nicole and Rameza talked on the MSN til the wee hours of the night. Recently, Nicole told me that the guys in 1E1 missed me as they sat down to talk.

As I compare my life now to the life I had before, it's just so depressing. I wasn't myself in class. All the fun elements, without the sex jokes and racist jokes, I had in me was gone. What do I do now in school? Well, sulking around, making less noise as possible and if possible, have random talks with classmates and friends and get scolding from teachers..WHERE IS MY FUN?! WHERE ARE MY FRIENDS WHO MADE ME TRULY HAPPY? As the O Levels days come nearer, my life just gets more and more depressing. Am I asking too much to have my genuine happiness?

Flinda, Nicole and Rameza...These three girls made me happy, serious..and 1E1 too. Nicholas, John, Hazim, Joshua..just to name a few..Those guys made my life more colourful. Andrew, Dennis, Jeremy(now the band major of Monfort, congrats man!) are my primary school mates. Band mates also are fun for me, it's like learning music with people that have the common interest as me. Su Juen, Fadhil, Shaun...and the rest too..And yeah, have to thank Elaine too. =D

So now, I'm just really hoping that my life will get better. And to those who read the last time posts about Bobby and the rest who made me happy and wonder where are their names, they screwed up..Yup..Goodbye.
