Dancing Sandwiches

Friday, June 29, 2007

This is probably the best band practice I ever had in my whole life...Mr Denise Sim came today and wanted us to do a Stomp-eques performance. At first, he taught us about the 8-7-6, which the percussion section, except the juniors, have been doing last time(and probably now lol). I learnt a lot of things from Mr Sim today like the single paradiddle, double paradiddle, triple paradiddle and the paradiddle-diddle and we have to tap our feet to the beat which was difficult to achieve it.

Mr Sim also taught us some dance moves because he said percussion doesn't involve the upper part of your body, it involves also the lower part...then we learnt some sweet cool moves from him. Then Shaun and Farhan kept doing some retarded dance and it was hilarious as hell. So sad Muhsin didn't attend today's practice...Wei Jie was attempting Michael Jackson's trademark spin, and he accidentally knocked down the low tom LOL. Overall it's great fun and we get to learn something new.

After Band Practice, the Band had a Post SYF "party" where all the performing art groups come together in the hall and celebrate their own sucess. It wasn't much fun and I expected it...Most of the seniors looked restless and tired and the juniors looked so hyper...Well, I pity them, they still have a year to have a go and take on the SYF challenge again and hopefully they can get the Gold we all the members want.

When all that presentations about thanking teachers and intructors were over, I didn't went for the food immediately like I used to...Didn't have the mood to eat and I went abit crazy by adding coffee and punch together...the results, too sweet but kinda nice. I had a lot of sandwiches later on, which was the best part of all...hahaha..I don't know why, but I like egg-filled sandwiches pretty much. And that's much why the sandwiches in the title...hahaha

Okay ah, that's all for today...Byebye!

Enjoy!

Know Myself Better

Wednesday, June 27, 2007

I got this quiz from Su Juen...kinda interesting..Hahaha..Based on the answers you give, they can tell something about you..So this is mine la..quite true lar...haha

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

Your views on education:
You may not like to study but you have many practical ideas. You listen to your own instincts and tend to follow your heart, so you will probably end up with an unusual job.

The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don't ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.

Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

That's all for today. =)

Things I've Done

Thursday, June 21, 2007

Sometimes in life, you don't realise about the people around that care for you, sometimes you take them for granted, and when you realise they're gone, you won't be able to get them back again. It happened to me once, both my good friends, gone...I'm only left with 1 person that cares about me, and that's Zheng Qian...Maybe I was too caught up with those crazy thoughts about girls with Xiang Chou, that I forgotten about his presence. Now I have to make it up to him before I lose this good friend of mine. Xiang Chou, is like those kind of friends that makes you fall into a pit of darkness and never coming back, he unleashes those evil thoughts in me, I've became something that I was originally not supposed to be.

Sometimes, harping on the past can bring you unhappiness that it can affect your whole mood. It happened to me too. Recently, I watched this HongKong serial drama called "Dicey Buisness" and it was talking playing card games with mind tricks...And when one's mood was affected by those unhappy thoughs, he or she cannot concentrate on the game and will lose...So I realised something that can help my studies, I must not be affected by those thoughts so I can achieve my goal.

Ending this post, I must work harder and put my 100% concentration into my studies so I can achieve what I want during the O Levels...With Great Perservation Comes Great Sucess!
