79th Oscars Academy Awards

Tuesday, February 27, 2007

Last night was a great night to remember as thousands of actors, producers and directors in the Kodak Theatre gave a standing ovation to the film-maker legend Martin Scorcese for his achievement in directing for The Departed. It looks like the host of the Oscars get less funier...BRING BACK BILLY CRYSTAL! Ellen Degeneres was okay as the host of the night...the Sound and Motion group gave such a wonderful performance, Al Gore was there and won Best Documentry for his An Inconvenient Truth film. Hilarious song by Jack Black, Will Ferell and John C. Reilly, hinting that there might be a new category in the later years of the Oscars for Best Comedic Performer or something like that. Ennio Marriconne is a brilliant song-scorer and I love his music. It gives out feelings unlike any other kinds of soundtrack. Dreamgirls, the most nominated film in this year, won only 1 award and that was Best Supporting Actress with American Idol Alumnus Jennifer Hudson. Well here's the video to the best part of the ceremony.

Ghost of Me

Thursday, February 22, 2007

Let's see what have I lost so far...two good buddies, one of them is my great buddy, he used to help me with my stuff and I shoved him away and said he was being a busybody. Another friend, who knows my inside out, cheering me up whenever she can, and she was gone too. I wished they would come back, but what's done is done, I can't change the past but the future. I'm like the ghost of everyone, living in the shadows, feeding on what I can afford, not allowed to have more of anything...Really hoped it'll get better in the future.

I enjoyed in Band today as usual, though I played quite badly when Sir wanted us to do combined first before doing sectional practices. James' crash cymbals' sound was getting better, in my opinion...At least it wasn't as loud and noisy like last time. Farhan got detention for being late...can't blame him...his bus was late. Shaun had to work on his solo part with the timpani. Some of the sec 2s had to practice the major parts in the pieces because, Muhsin was sick(Shaun was joking over that Muhsin had gonorea*), so some of their parts were switched. It wasn't a good practice, but I'm looking forward to other practices! Band rocks, baby!

Birthday Blues

Wednesday, February 07, 2007

Yeah so it's my birthday, this year seemed rather grimm than merrier. Yeah so I laughed a few times, Bobby punched me, Zheng Qian kicked me, Pei Yun, Lynn and few people greeted me with a "Happy birthday!", Kwai Yuen such a nice guy, Wee Chiat and Hanafi tried to stop me from getting off Simei MRT Station and Chun greeted me on MSN...Though it's very little things but it's enough for a guy like me who doesn't really love the attention but a birthday song would do just fine for me.

Just came back from dinner with my family, they were all puzzled why I was wearing a frown all night. Well I broke a iPod a few weeks ago, brother-in-law gotten angry 2 days ago and I've been humiliated in class and some asshole just can't stop picking on me. I just didn't have the mood for birthday. Especially mine.

Sang a song in front of class which was really embarrassing but I knew it was going to happen as I hadn't pass up my journal but it was another reason...I started off saying how good Spider-Man was and I was stuck there so I had to do a forfeit. Sang "It Ends Tonight" by All American Rejects...Teacher said I had a good voice, Wee Chiat said it was alright...wasn't really bad, wasn't really good either. I just sang it because I been practising that on the piano for a few days already and that was the only song that I remembered the lyrics...So you could say I was mentally prepared.

Well, that's all for today...Looking forward to tomorrow's bashing from Band people. I'm so dead....hahaha

Okay I want to get few things straight and after this, hopefully no one, yes no one ever calls me "Emo kid" again, except the ones who knows me inside out good enough. Yes I heard complaints from you guys saying I'm "emo" all the time because I don't talk much and I stare into spaces sometimes and I was caught sleeping in class...Ladies and gentlemen, this is not "Emo", this is what we people say everytime in class. "Cher, I'm TIRED, can don't do any work?" I am fucking tired everyday and I don't know why. People sleep less than me and are staying awake, I don't know why.

First of all, I don't talk much because my words are treated like bullshits and I don't like talking to a crowd where they have no response. So I shut up all the time, I talk when I know it's the right time.

Second of all, I stare into spaces because I'm thinking of something really important about life and it's amazing journey and I'm figuring out how to make my life better, usually you will see a smile on my face whenever I have finally thought it out.

So I'm not fucking emo, and stop calling me that! It's like how your mom calls you by your cute nickname, ah you get the idea..

I simply love flying!

Fingers

Friday, February 02, 2007

Haiz...I just got a iPod a few weeks ago and now it's all spoilt because the computer can't detect the damn iPod Shuffle's drive. It has always been like this, my fingers, the source of all the fucking bad luck in the world...Been ruining things with my fingers. Everything I touch spoils and I seriously hate it. Now my elder sister is all pissed with me and she called me some words which I felt very sad when I heard it. I really hope for a miracle to happen.

I'm going to post something in the coming days about not wearing spectacles. In the meantime, you guys think about it, what goes on in the life of a blind man.

Tomorrow I'm having an exchange, music exchange by the way, with Mayflower School. No iPod to accompany me on my trip....aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....*crys* haiz...What can I do?

a nightmare that comes true everyday

Zombiefied

Thursday, February 01, 2007

Woah ho, I'm so damn tired...No matter how early I sleep, I still felt tired throughout the day.

I was sleeping throughout almost the whole of Physics class and Mrs Lim made us ran 2 rounds around the school but I just walked. Most of the pupils in 3E4 didn't came, either they were tired or sick. My class only had 3 absentees, Wen Yong, Shahirul and Yan Ting...Either these people pontang(skip school, which I highly doubt) or they are sick. The whole day I was like a zombie, walking around the school aimlessly.

Band Practice came and Sir did Sunrise for almost the whole practice. I let James, my junior, played some parts as I couldn't take it anymore. I felt like sleeping but didn't dared. My eyes shut for a few seconds and I tried to muster the last remaining strength to stay awake for the rest of the practice. Hell, I even almost slept on the bus again! The last time I slept on a 31 bus which arrived at TM and I was woken up by a girl who looked so much like Elaine, one of the flutist in my school band.

Anyway, I miss the camp a lot, I miss ShaSha and Hairul and their awesome, hilarious claps, and I know most people would agree on this too. The ShaSha clap was one of the best thing that ever happened in the camp. Haiz...the Cold Wind Blow song is one of my favourite camp songs now, man...

Hope you will turn out fine and your wound will heal fast because I miss you so...
